Is RERA Registration mandatory for all real estate projects?

Yes. Under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, registration is mandatory for commercial or residential projects where the land area exceeds 500 square metres or the project consists of more than eight apartments, including all phases. Such projects must be registered with the respective State RERA Authority before they are advertised, marketed, booked, or sold.
